1. What we collect
- Email address — when you join the notify list, so we can send you the launch link and occasional progress updates. Stored along with the platform (Mac), the tier you indicated interest in, and the date you signed up.
- Anonymous usage analytics — pageviews and clicks on this site, via PostHog, to understand which parts of the page work. No screenshots, no personally identifying content.
- Server logs — IP address, user agent, and referrer for incoming HTTP requests, retained for short-term abuse prevention.
2. What we do not collect
No payment details — we don't take payments on this site. No accounts, no passwords, no tracking pixels from advertisers beyond Google Tag for ads attribution. The Snip Mac app, when it ships, will run entirely on your computer; your screenshots will never leave your Mac.
3. Who we share data with
- Cloudflare — hosting and request routing for this site.
- PostHog — anonymous product analytics on this site.
- Google (Gtag) — ads attribution measurement.
We do not sell your data. We do not use it for any purpose beyond running the notify list and improving this page.
4. Your rights
You can ask us to confirm what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email contact@getsnipformac.com and we will action the request within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
5. Cookies
We use a small number of first-party cookies for analytics and ads attribution. No third-party advertising cookies are set on this site.
6. Data retention
Email addresses are kept for as long as needed to deliver the launch notification and any related updates; you can ask us to delete yours at any time.
